Back to work

Well I’m back from my week off. At least I was able to enjoy the beach towel I won during our first library tech training session.

A break from the library

Yippee, a week away from work.

Me and:

and I can break in my Caroline provided beach towel:

Old School

A young guy was looking for information on a topic and he said he was just going to get it off the Internet but decided to go “old-school” and find a book with the information he needed.

It’s good to know that books have the same cultural cachet as a pair of white Adidas sneakers.

Goodbye to all that

I decided to erase the MySpace account I created for our library technology training sessions.

I tried to follow through with the request to add a celebrity as a friend but I got no responses (and I didn’t even aim as high as trying get Jessica Biel to be my friend).

Goodbye MySpace, it was a fun 10 days.

Why can’t we get these?

It’s workin’

Goody, my MySpace account is now working. I can now start accepting friend invitations from women of questionable virtue!

Networking day

Caroline and Roland did a great job of explaining the various social networks.

My MySpace account is not working properly yet but I can still try and create as hideous looking a MySpace page as possible.

I’m not sure anyone would want to know everything I’m up to during the day but I may keep playing with Twitter for a bit longer.

I also enjoyed the fresh strawberries and copious amounts of jube-jubes and gummi bears.

Caroline is always right

After claiming that nothing could change my browser-centric bookmarking, I find myslef slowly porting my bookmarks over to delicious. I’m mainly bookmarking online radio stations at this point but I can see moving more work related sites over to this system.

I learned about Del.icio.us today but I’m not sure I want to give up my old school, monastic approach to bookmarking web sites.

There is a lot of arm twisting going on so I may have to make an effort to try.

Hunger

I hope all the food isn’t gone by the time I get to the BBQ.
